2020 Avoca Quality and Innovation Summit (Cancelled)
In light of the public health concerns around the spread of COVID-19, The Avoca Group has chosen to cancel the 2020 Avoca Quality & Innovation Summit scheduled for 3-4 June in Amsterdam.
We made this decision first and foremost to protect the health and well-being of our attendees, staff, and speakers, as well as their colleagues and families. However, the decision was also influenced by corporate travel restrictions—particularly around international meetings and conferences—of many Avoca Quality Consortium® (AQC) Member companies.
While we believe this is the best decision given the circumstances, we are very disappointed not to be able to provide the opportunity to gather in June. My colleagues and I are exploring the potential for a virtual meeting, which will cover a number of the topics that were planned for the Amsterdam meeting. And, we will host a full-day session in November 2020 in Princeton, NJ, as well as a series of regional meetings throughout the remainder of the year. We will hold the two-day meeting in Amsterdam next year.
We encourage Quality Consortium Members to continue to take advantage of the online platform, Aha!—to ask questions of each other and to share information. This online community, created six years ago, now has more than 3600 individuals who are connected with each other based on subject matter interest. Now is an opportune time to leverage this powerful platform designed to facilitate global connection and virtual collaboration.
